Convention Delegates

Clinton Rodgers and Joy Roberts were elected to the 2 open delegate slots for this year's CWA National Convention, held in Las Vegas, NV June 23-25.  The 5 Officers are automatic delegates per the Local by-laws.

John Tyus was elected alternate and will be attending for educational purposes.

AT&T CWA Member Mobilization Action

If you don't have one, ask your union rep for your mobilization sticker to wear on Wednesday, April 30.  

This is just one of many activities members will be asked to support.  Member participation will have a direct impact on the success of bargaining a new contract. Contract expiration is April 4, 2009

The Community Services Committee has 2 projects coming up that need your support: 

• CWA Local 4603 Night at the Channels  10 & 36 Auction is April 30th.  There are a variety of jobs we need volunteers for.  If you're interested in helping with this project, please contact Chris Wunder at the Union Office, 258-4010.
•  Many children who rely on their school lunch programs for food during the school year may lack adequate food during the summer months. Therefore, we are collecting donations of peanut butter & jelly which will be taken to a local food pantry. You may give your donation  of PB&G to your steward or the Union office no later than may 27th. Or you can bring it to the May 16th Membership Mtg.
